Weather Update: Thunderstorms and Heavy Showers Expected Across Estonia Today, June 28, 2026

Today, Estonia will experience slightly and partly cloudy skies. Localized showers and thunderstorms are expected, spreading to many places towards the evening. The wind will blow mainly from the south at 2-8 m/s, with gusts reaching 12 m/s. Stronger wind gusts are possible during thunderstorms. Air temperatures will range from 25 to 30°C, remaining cooler on the coast at around 20°C.

On Lake Peipsi, expect mainly southerly winds at 2-8 m/s with wave heights of 0.3-0.9 meters. Showers and a risk of thunderstorms are forecast for the afternoon. Visibility will be generally good, dropping to moderate during showers. Temperatures will hover between 24 and 26°C.

Nighttime Alert (Valid 21:00 – 06:00, June 29): Thunderstorm activity will continue, primarily affecting the northern part of Estonia (Harju, Hiiu, Ida-Viru, Jõgeva, Järva, Lääne, Lääne-Viru, and Rapla counties).

Overnight: Variably cloudy with showers and thunderstorms in many places. Southerly winds will shift to westerly at 2-8 m/s, with gusts up to 12 m/s. Temperatures will cool to 16..20°C.
Tomorrow Daytime: Slightly and partly cloudy. Localized showers are possible on the mainland, with patches of fog developing on the coast. Winds will mainly blow from the northwest and north at 3-9 m/s, while the islands will see weak, variable winds. Temperatures will once again reach 25..30°C, with coastal areas around 20°C.
