Weather conditions across Estonia will remain mostly cloudy on Sunday, May 17, with occasional clear spells and rain showers affecting many parts of the country. During the afternoon, there is also a risk of thunderstorms in Eastern Estonia.
The islands and western mainland are expected to see somewhat better conditions with partly cloudy skies and mainly dry weather. Along the coast, patches of fog may reduce visibility locally. By evening, conditions are forecast to improve as rain showers gradually weaken and skies begin to clear.
Winds will generally remain light and variable at 1–7 m/s, although southwestern and southern winds along the western coast and islands may strengthen up to 10 m/s. Thunderstorms could also bring locally stronger gusts.
Daytime temperatures are expected to range between 13 and 19 degrees Celsius, while some coastal areas may remain cooler at around 10°C.
Lake Peipus Forecast
At Lake Peipus, winds will remain weak and variable during the morning before turning northerly in the afternoon at 3–7 m/s, with gusts reaching up to 10 m/s. Wave heights will increase from around 0.5 metres in the morning to approximately 0.8 metres later in the day.
Rain showers are expected at times, with a possibility of thunderstorms during the afternoon. Visibility will vary from good to moderate. Air temperatures around the lake will range from 14 to 17°C.

Tonight, skies across Estonia will be slightly to partly cloudy. Before midnight, isolated rain showers may still occur in some areas. Winds will mainly be northerly at 1–7 m/s.
Nighttime temperatures are expected to drop to between 5 and 11 degrees Celsius, while parts of Western Estonia could locally see temperatures fall as low as 2°C.
Forecast for Monday, May 18
Monday morning is expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies. During the afternoon, cloud cover will increase from the east and isolated rain showers may develop.
Northerly winds will strengthen slightly to 3–9 m/s. Daytime temperatures are forecast to rise to 16–21°C inland, while windward coastal regions may stay significantly cooler at around 12°C.
